The problem
YouTube optimizes for engagement, not growth. Even child-focused video apps let unsuitable content through, and parents are left doing the review work alone.
The solution
Lemu Kids is a learning path: a themed weekly plan with videos included, curated by Lima and approved by you. No algorithmic feed for your child.
How it works
Five steps, from the family conversation to the week on Lemu TV
- 1
Talk with your family
Guided AI onboarding. Define values, goals, and interests. Parents review the profile before anything is saved.
- 2
Get a development plan
Lima builds a weekly roadmap (Montessori, Piaget, age fit) aligned with your family's values and goals.
- 3
Every video analyzed
Safety score 0–100, educational value, age fit, and emotion signals — before your child sees anything.
- 4
Lima approves what's safe
Safety above 70: Lima can auto-approve and send to Lemu TV. Grey zone (40–70): always waits for you. Full manual mode available in settings.
- 5
The week lives on Lemu TV
Lemu TV shows only the approved videos from the plan: your child moves through the week, not a feed. Screen-time limits and parent-panel lock when you set them.

Built for families: the decision stays at home
Lima analyses the videos and prepares the weekly plan. You choose: manual approval or assisted mode (Lima auto-approves when safety is high). Grey zone and Lemu TV always stay with you.
You choose how to approve
Manual mode: you approve each video. Lima mode: auto-approval when safety is high; grey zone always with you. Profile and plan reviewed by you.
Grey zone = parents only
Mid-range scores (40–70) never reach Lemu TV without your decision. Reporting a video removes it from the approved queue.
Consent and data minimisation
Parental consent is required before child information is stored. Profiles use only the signals needed for planning and moderation.
AI is not a babysitter
Safety scores are decision support, not a replacement for parental judgement, professional advice, or age-appropriate supervision.
Lemu Kids is a product by the Portuguese AI laboratory Lemu Lab.

FAQ
Questions parents ask before starting Lemu Kids
How does Lemu Kids protect my child?
Every video in the plan is analysed by Lima before Lemu TV. High safety can be auto-approved (if you enable it); grey zone and rejected items stay with you. Only approved videos enter the week — there is no algorithmic feed for your child. Child mode has screen-time limits and no access to the parent dashboard.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. New families get a 5-day free trial — no payment needed to start. In the United States, parental identity is verified with a €0 card check (never charged) as required by COPPA. You can cancel or stop using the product during the trial at no cost.
How much does Lemu Kids cost?
Lemu Kids costs €7.99 per month after the 5-day free trial, or €79 per year. One family subscription covers the children in your family account.
What languages are supported?
Lemu Kids supports English, Portuguese, and Spanish. More languages can be added as the product grows.
Can AI guarantee that every video is safe?
No. Lima supports decisions with scores and can auto-approve very safe videos — but grey zone, reports, and manual mode keep parents in charge. It does not replace age-appropriate supervision.
What child data is needed?
The family profile uses practical planning signals such as age, interests, goals, values, and screen-time limits. Parental consent is required before child information is stored.
